Deanna Allen Obituary

Deanna Grace Allen
1958 ~ 2015
I left this life Feb. 5, 2015 at the age of 56 years young from a brain tumor I fought for 25 years. I was born July 26, 1958 to wonderful parents, Richard and Elinor Akins Cheever. I married the love of my life, my true soulmate and best friend, Dale Allen, Feb. 15, 1992. The years married to him were the best of my life. I loved listening to music at bedtime and laying my head on his shoulder as he rubbed my head for hours until I fell asleep. He spent his time trying to make my life happy. He and my wonderful daughter Mallory devoted many hours in caring for me with love and patience. I will deeply miss Rylie, Doug and Milo as being a grandma was one of my favorite callings in life.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. I loved my ward family deeply and had a firm testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ.
I am survived by my husband, Dale; four children, Ryan (Angela), Brandon (Lydia), Mallory (Chad), Michael; and five stepchildren, Greg (Rachel), Tracey (Shawn), Brett (Angie), Patrick, Lindsey (Ashley); 16 grandchildren; father, Richard; siblings, Leslie (Kevin) Marsh, Bonnie Sutherland, Scott (Flo) Cheever, and Joe (Denney) Cheever. Preceded in death by my mother, Elinor.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Midvale 6th Ward, 8171 So. Jackson St. There will be a viewing Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and again Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.

Oh Deanna, I think about you every day, and every time I drive to work and drive past your grave, I think of your purple casket and your amazing conquerable soul.
Thinking of you ALWAYS makes me smile as I remember adventuring every day with you, and the creative happy free spirit who you are!
I remember all of our adventures vividly and think of you fondly, literally every day!
I love you with all my heart Deanna- always have and always will!
Love,Vicki

My dearest Deanna – you have always been the love of my life!
From the first moment we met as teenagers working together at LDS Hospital – it was love at first sight – a true embodiment of best friends forever.
Little did we know that we were both going to share some of the same adventures that life was going to bring at us,
I thank Heavenly Father for you and for the adventures that we had together .
I know that you are in the arms of so many of our friends and family that love you. I know most especially my brother Geoff will be thrilled to reunite with his best friend.
Lots of love to Deanna's children, her husband, family and all of those who have loved her and whose lives are forever changed because of her blissful presence in it.
We love you Deanna!
Forever yours,
Vicki Talmage

I remember such good times with Deanna in high school. Always so upbeat, and a ton of fun to be around. She lighted up the world wherever she went. A ray of sunshine to be missed until we meet again......
