EUNICE ANDERSON Obituary

Eunice Merriam Anderson 9/3/1920 ~ 6/24/2011 Eunice Merriam Anderson passed away peacefully on June 24, 2011 with family at her side. She was born on September 3, 1920 in Manti, Utah to Amasa Clyde and Laurette Squire Merriam. On June 10, 1938 she was married to DeLone Erastus "Bill" Anderson and their union was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. They made their home in Ephraim, Utah and spent 53 years together, raising four children: Rodney DeLone Anderson, Kendall Heber Anderson, David Clyde Anderson and Karen Louise Burris.Eunice loved camping and spending time in the outdoors. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren-and never missed a chance to have an ice cream cone with any of them. She loved her morning walks, even if it was only down to the mailbox and back. She loved working with her hands, gardening, cooking, and especially sewing and quilting. Over the last few decades of her life, Eunice sewed hundreds of quilts that can be found in homes across the country. She loved to sit on the porch and talk with friends, neighbors and anyone who happened to pass by. Above all else, Eunice loved her husband, the gospel of Jesus Christ and the temple. She and Bill worked for many years as missionaries in the Manti Temple Visitor's Center and she spent many more years working in the temple after Bill's death. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lola, her brother, Roy, her husband, DeLone, and her son, Rodney. She is survived by her sons, Kendall and David, her daughter, Karen, 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the LDS chapel located at 450 N 200 W in Ephraim, Utah. Viewing will be at the same location on Sunday, June 27 at 6:00 p.m. and Monday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to service. Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery.

Kendall - Sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I remember being in your home only once. She was always very kind and friendly when I met her. Wish I could be there with you tomorrow in Ephraim.
