My Son, Scott Carter, served with Greg in Tennessee and enjoyed many fun times together following their missions. Scott did not learn of Greg's passing until Dec. 1st. He called me in tears, shocked and saddened by Elder Nelson's passing. I lost Scott's Father 8 1/2 years ago and pray that Melissa and her children will be as comforted, as I have been, especially knowing they are sealed for eternity and that Greg is aware of them and will be waiting to be reunited with all of them again. According to Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley, "No righteous man is taken before his time." Greg must have been badly needed beyond the veil. My thoughts and prayers are with Melissa and your children. Greg, I still can't believe this is real and that you are gone. My life is better for having known you. May God wrap his arms of peace around your family. Our condolences.

I enjoyed doing things with Greg. I have gone on vacations, spent holiday's, and enjoyed outings with Greg and his family. I always enjoyed observing his closeness with his family. I could tell he loved them and that they loved him. He will truly be missed! I'm sure our Heavenly Father needed him at home for an important assignment!!

Will miss seeing Greg with his brother, Eric and their sons at the promotional movie screenings. My heart felt sympathy and prayers go out to his family. I know he will still be enjoying those movie promos with us from his seat in heaven.
