Gregory Jay Gibson

Gregory Jay Gibson was born on February 10, 1955 and passed away on November 14, 2009 at his home in Tucson. Greg was born in Heidelburg, Germany, the son of a career military officer. The family moved back to the United States when Greg was one year old. He grew up in Altadena, California and was involved in the band during Junior High School, playing the drums. He graduated from John Muir High School in Pasadena, California in 1973, then continued his education at Devry Technical Institute, graduating with a degree as an electrical technician. Greg began working at Hughes Aircraft in California and transferred to Tucson, which became Raytheon Missile Systems, where he worked for 34 years total. He and his wife, Connie were married in 1985 and moved to Tucson in 1999 where he became very involved and active in the Masonic - Aaron Lodge #49, The Shriner - Sabbar Motor Patrol and the Elks Lodge #2532. He loved to work around the house, go camping and was a sport enthusiast. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his giving heart. He is survived by his wife, Connie from Tucson; his mother, Manuela from Altadena, California; his daughter, Jessica from California; his sisters, Cynthia, California, Michaela, Oregon and Regina, Virginia. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 615 S. Pantano Rd, Tucson. He will be missed.
