Laura Margaret Mayberry Benson

Laura Margaret Mayberry Benson 1934 ~ 2004  Laura Margaret Mayberry Benson, 69, died at McKay Dee Hospital on April 17, 2004, after a long illness. She was born September 22, 1934 in West Weber, Utah to Joseph Lawrence and Margaret Heslop Mayberry. After graduating from BYU, she married Ariel D. Benson in the Logan Temple on July 1, 1957, then settled in Richmond where they reared seven children.  Mom was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving others. All those who entered her home felt her Christ-like love and often left with a loaf of homemade bread or a crocheted towel. She is survived by her children: LeAnn and Jay Jackson, Ogden; Del and Karen Benson, Saipan; Jolene Benson, Highland; Duane and Kristie Benson, River Heights; Karla and Doug Lewis, Madison, WI; RaNae and Bret Randall, Hyde Park; Brian and Misty Benson, Nibley; Sook and Wayne Bonin, North Oak, MN; 24 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Orlene and Doug Clayson, Pleasant Grove; Marilyn and Robert Lund, Perry; John and Jeanine Mayberry, Las Vegas, NV; Rulon and Daryl Mayberry, Lompoc, CA; David and Patti Mayberry, Orem; Lynette and Chris Mershon, American Fork. Her husband, Ariel, and parents preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, April 21, at the Richmond 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 150 South 100 East, Richmond, with Bishop Dan Richins conducting. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, prior to funeral services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
