Michael Don Ross Jorgensen passed away on October 19, 2011 in Murray, Utah. Born on April 29, 1974 to Donald Ross and Cindy Maxwell; adopted at age 12 by Jon Jorgensen and Carla Criddle Jorgensen.
He attended West Jordan High School and Merced College. He was employed by Chrysalis Medical as Security Director. Mike enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, white water rafting and anything that was challenging and adventurous.
Survived by adoptive parents; daughter, Anyssa; grandparents, Lee and Lynne Jorgensen; uncle and aunt, Danny and Cathy Maxwell and their children. Preceded in death by his biological mother, Cindy Maxwell and grandparents, Charles and Zella Criddle, Carol and Don Griffith.
Visitation and funeral services, Saturday, October 22, 2011, at the Monument Park 12th Ward, 2795 E. Crestview Drive (1000 S.). Visitation from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., with funeral services at 11:00. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates. Online condolences at www.cannonmortuary.com

Dear Cousin - I will never forget our time together for a beautiful day at an amusement park. You were funny, cool, and charming. You were a bright light who was extinguished too soon, and you were very well-loved! I miss you, and I wish you love and peace. I wish love and healing to your incredible parents and sweet daughter.

Not long ago I remember Michael asking me: " If you had a choice would you want to learn everything all over again? Or keep your memories? " I looked at him in deep wonderment and asked him why? An he said " Just answer " I had no answer, I answered I don't know. I said and you? And he said "I WOULD WANT TO KEEP MY MEMORIES" I asked why? And then he said " because your memories make you who you are". I'll never forget those words, I don't think anyone else should either. Love forever and a day.

Dear Carla...Jon...Words cannot express how sad we are for you all. I will never forget all the fun times we had in the 1980,s in West Jordan. Dinner parties, games, talk on the phone visiting. Michael was like one of my sons, and he fit into our family so well..I loved him so much and always believed in him and told him so a few months ago. It was great to go to lunch with him, Jon, my daughter Michelle, Jason and me last spring 2010 [and took many pics]. His life was hard, but if he didn,t have you two it would have been even harder for him. You both were his guiding light... all 3 of you are the best..Love Pam

So very very sorry for your loss. I will always remember the Christmas Michael spent at our house with all the cousins dressing up and acting out the Nativity on Christmas Eve. It was a choice time! My heart goes out to everyone. Love and hugs, Jayne Criddle
