Winterset
Gary Kiernan, 75, of Winterset, Iowa passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17th 2017 in Winterset surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation to be held at St Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset on Monday from 2-7pm with family receiving friends from 4-7pm with rosary to follow.
Funeral services will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church Tuesday, February 21st at 10:30am with Fr. Dan Kirby officiating. Luncheon will be held at the parish hall followed by burial at St. Patrick Irish Settlement cemetery in Cumming, Iowa. Arrangements are by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home.
Gary is survived by wife, Carol; children, Michele (Paul) Grandfield, Crystal (Brian) Binns, Matt (Beth), Dan (Melinda), Peter (Kris), Michael (Erin); sister, Mary Beth (Dick) Craven; grandkids, Blake, Gavin, Coen, Olivia, Ella, Megan, Colin, James, Katherine, and Michael.
Proceeded in death by parents John J Kiernan, Alice (Watts) and brothers Fr. James Kiernan, Jack Kiernan, and Thomas Kiernan.
Memorials may be given to St Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or the St. Patrick's Irish Settlement General Fund.

I am so sorry for your loss I used to wait on you all years ago down in Bevington at the restaurant when it was there! Gary always spoke to me on the street or whenever he saw me! Sorry I can't make the funeral!
