Aldo Cardosi Obituary
Grosse Pointe Woods - Aldo Victor Cardosi, 91, of Grosse Pointe Woods, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 3, 1929 in Detroit Michigan to the late Victor and Assunta Cardosi. Aldo was faithful husband, loving father and grandfather, as well as a respected member of his community.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM in A.H. Peters Funeral Home (20705 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods), with rosary held at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 12 Noon at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (22412 Overlake Street, St. Clair Shores). Aldo will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Cardosi, for your years of being a beautiful and amazing couple for all to see in our community. Thank you for what you both did to raise all of us who visited your home and who ran our safe and nurturing streets of the neighborhood. Your smiles, laughs, kind words and love still shine and will shine forever. You are both amazing role models. Thank you! I know Mr. Cardosi is living amazingly with God in Heaven, and even though we are hurting now, we can take comfort in that the same God has been, is, and will continue to care for us on earth, too. Mrs. Cardosi, you are not “in this” alone. Your biological children and all your “other children,” like me are a phone call away. Reach out when you need and when you just want. You are loved by many and you’re loved by the greatest love...God’s. As Anthony Meier once reminded me, “Not only God with you right now, He is wrapped all the way around you.” With gratitude and love to both you, Mrs. Cardosi and Mr. Cardosi.
