It is difficult to say "goodbye" to those who have touched our lives in so many ways. Your dad was a great and caring man...he always had a smile on his face. And right now he's smiling down on his children knowing his love has given you all that is necessary to be a tribute to him. Prayers Always

To the Bohrer Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Joe and Doug since 1969 at "Edison". I can still remember the job location where I first met him. He was always friendly and sincere. Very, very dedicated to doing a great job. As years passed we would see one another at various work locations. Joe always made a point to stop and share in conversation. After his retirement from DTE we would see him at inspector meetings or at a restaurant in the neighborhood. It was always a delight to see his smile and know him for his gentle and happy spirit. He was always a gentleman.

Hi cousins!
This is cousin Pat. I am sorry to hear that Uncle Doug passed away. I loved our visits and time together. Getting coke from cousin Dougie was the only time I ever got to drink real pop in the 60's.
I feel really fortunate to have had the chance to see Uncle Doug one last time in November. He spoke of his WWII reunion in New Orleans with such passion. Thank you Jan and Pat for inviting us to your home and letting us enjoy the football game with you and Uncle Doug. He looked like he loved those MSU football games.

To all the Bohrers, I am very sorry for your loss. Doug was a gentleman, and a close cousin in-law to my father. He was always friendly and a good resource on electrical matters. I know you can take comfort that he is back home and joined with Mary Jane.

To the Bohrer Family,
I am very sorry for the loss of Mr Bohrer. My Dad considered him a very close friend. I remember him as always being very nice & polite. He had a quiet strength about him.
I work for Northville Township & I know he worked there for a period of time before me. I used to see mail delivered to the Township to his attention, so I asked about him. Everyone only had good things to say about him. I feel the same way. He was a very kind man and he will be missed by many.
I hope you can find peace in the good memories of your Dad. My heartfelt condolences to all of you.
With Love,
Barbara Williams

I worked with Doug at Northville Township and everyone just loved him. He was very professional and knowledgeable.
I saw him and talked a few times after Mass at St. Kens. I know he is with God and very happy. Please know all of his family are in my prayers. It is harder for the ones left behind than the one that passes. I just can't express how wonderful he was.

To the entire Bohrer Family,
I'm so very saddened to learn of your Dad's passing. He was such a kind and gentle man. I'll always remember him fondly for his quiet sense of humor, and that ever-present twinkle in his eye!
The connection between our two families goes way back - well over 65 years! Our dads were lifelong friends, as were our mothers. Some of us kids played together as toddlers when we lived on Grayfield, and many of us went to grade school together at St. Gemma, a parish built by our parents. And even when us kids scattered in different directions during our adult years, we never really lost track of each other because of our parents' everlasting friendships. In recent years, many of us have reconnected as a result of reunions, family tragedies or celebrations, and most recently through my dad's love of karaoke! As a result of all of these lifelong connections, for many of us in the Williams family, your Dad's passing feels much the same as losing one of our own.
I wish I was currently in Michigan so I could be present at your dad's funeral. But please know that even though I can't physically be there with you, I will be keeping your dad, and all of you, in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. My love and heartfelt sympathy go out to each and every one of you.

To all the Bohrer family, I am so sorry to hear about your lovely father's passing. He was very kind and dignified man. It was such a comfort to see your dad brought by his family to my father's rosary in October. I enjoyed talking to him that day, not expecting that he would join your beautiful mother and maybe say "Hello" to his WWII cousin-in-law, Fred, in Heaven. Another one of the great ones has left us for a better place. I wish I was still in Michigan to personally share my condolences. Best thoughts for your entire family. Joanne
