KAREN SUE February 28, 2017 Age 75. Beloved mother of Aleise M. Van Arnem (Duncan McGuffie), Heather L. Chidiac (Jean), Harold L. "HL" Van Arnem IV, and the late Heidi L. Van Arnem. Devoted grandmother of John J. Chidiac. Dear sister of Fred Schram (Daralene). Former wife of Harold L. "Sonny" Van Arnem III. Family will receive friends Friday 3-7 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile), 248-549-0500. Funeral service Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Kirk in the Hills, 1340 W. Long Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills.

No words can express how much I will miss Karen's beautiful classy strong soul. The crazy things we can talk to one another during our nail session. My heart is so very heavy with the passing of Karen.
Karen was a true beauty both inside and out. She was such a sweet and kind person but somehow managed to be so very strong
while often suffering so much heart breaking times. We had many wonderful and happy times together, that I will always remenber. God bless her always. Your mother so loved you all. a

Condolences to Karen's family. We have fond memories of our days together working on Cranbrook Museum committees. The July 4th parties at Aleise and Duncan's were always fun. She was a wonderful caring woman.
