Bettye Regester Obituary
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Interment: The family will have a private graveside service. Visitation: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Association for ovarian cancer research.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother whose smile would always light up the room, Bettye was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Duluth, Minn. She was raised in Duluth and moved to Dallas, where she was a graduate of The Hockaday School. In 1949, she married Dr. James A. Regester and moved to Fort Worth in 1951 to raise her family.
When her children were raised, she began her working career at Fort Worth National Bank (TEAM Bank) were she worked 20 years and retired as a vice president. She was a longtime member of Broadway Baptist Church. She will be missed by all.
Survivors: Sons, Steve Regester and wife, Sherri, of Columbus, Ohio, Dick Regester of Fort Worth; daughter, Nancy Yeary and husband, Bob, of Irvine, Calif.; grandchildren, Tria Brindley and husband, Mark, of Austin, Derrick Miller and wife, Terry, of Sherman, James Regester of Dallas, Jordan Regester and Byron Regester of Columbus, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren.
