Edna Knodel Obituary
With her family around her, Edna passed away peacefully July 8, 2017. After surpassing her 88th birthday on June 26, 2017. She was struggling with COPD for many years and has now gone to a better place. She was busy with raising her siblings and in retirement loved to spend time with friend's playing cards, slot machines at casino's and on-line games.
Predeceased by her husband Emil Knodel, brother Ron (Patricia) Overton and sister Doris (Ken) Sommers.
Survived by: son Norm (Barb) Knodel; daughter Janis (Mel) Jonsson; sons Don Knodel, Randy Knodel, Gary Knodel, Howard (Cyndy) Knodel and Paul Knodel. Grandchildren: Darryl, Lynette, Catrina, Teresa, Bobby, Randy, Rene, Jason, Megan, Darren, Rylan, Tyler, Ashlee, and Opal. Great Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Addison, Joey, Elizabeth, Kassandra, Charlotte, Audrey, Ella, Liam and Scarlett.
A Funeral Service for Edna will be held on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at 12:00pm at Piercy's Funeral Home, 440 England Ave, Courtenay.
If wishing, donations in memory of Edna can be made to a charity of your choice.
