Gary, you have positivity made a difference in EMS as it is today. I wonder how many people's careers you have touched. I do remember a point in time, where we were having a get together, and your introduced us to Kristi. We all stared at you because you freaked us out…..You were the happiest person on the planet. Your photos prove this fact. It's been an honor knowing and learning from you.
Gary, you will be severely missed. Your memories will never be forgotten………. Ron Miller

Gary,

You have truly earned your wings and now fly with God. Your memory will live in a special place in my heart. I honor you with this prayer:

EMS Prayer

As I perform my duties Lord,
whatever be the call,
Help to guide us and keep us safe
From danger big and small.
I want to serve and do my best,
no matter what the scene.
I pledge to keep my skills refined,
My judgement quick and keen.
This calling to give of myself,
Most do not understand.
But I stand ready all the time,
To help my fellow Man.
To have the chance to help a child,
Restore is laugh with glee.
A word of thanks I may not hear,
But knowing is enough for me.
The praise of men is fine for some,
But I feel truely blessed,
That you, Oh Lord have chosen me,
To serve in EMS.
Amen

I had the honor of working Ems with Gary at DFW Medical Center back in the 90's we we like to say we learned the most and had some of the best times. We often talked about all the Great things out there and the ones as he would say "the Medics that he Created and Molded " As we moved from there to our flight careers with Air Evac we got to spend some of the best times when we wouold get together and teach classes and everyone knows how Gary liked to talk and Teach . We have truley lost a Great Paramedic, Friend, Father and Husband . I am greatful for the times we had and the many things he taught me . Les Kleine

I have been praying for you and your little ones, asking God to provide all your needs somehow, even the ones it seemed only Gary could fill. Maybe someday I'll meet you - in Heaven, for sure! It's a wonderful truth to know Gary is with the Lord, so you can grieve with hope, looking towards your reunion someday. I can't even imagine the agony in the meantime, but I know God knows and He will use my prayers as He knows you most need.

Gary was a great guy...he taught me in both EMT and Paramedic school. Gary was my partner on the ambulance with Rockwall County and we both served as flight medics with LifeStar and Air Evac at the Decatur base. I have shared some great memories with Gary both working and especially on the golf course! I also enjoyed our constant trash talking related to your Texas Longhorns and my ZERO-U Sooners, as you called them! I learned a ton from you Gary and was blessed to know you! May you rest in peace and I pray peace for your wife and beautiful kiddos! I will miss you bud!
