Often noted as one of the most beautiful, classy and sweet ladies in a room, Lilly was a most loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and friends. She was loved and adored. Lilly was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She showed love and respect to everyone she met.

Lilly and Paul travelled the globe extensively and also lived in many places, including: in Texas, Houston, Georgetown, Carthage, Tyler, Dallas, and Fort Worth; In Louisiana, Monroe and Shreveport; Jackson, Mississippi; Duncan, Oklahoma; and before the Iranian revolution, 9 years in Tehran, Iran, where Paul headed Dresser Industries operations. Wherever they lived, Lilly always made her house a home and hosted many friends and family throughout the years.
Lilly and Paul made many dear American, European and Iranian friends while in Tehran. While there, Lilly served as the President of the Tehran American Women's Club and as President of the International Women's Club, and was involved in many other social and civic activities, including multiple encounters with the Empress of Iran.
