Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church where family and friends will gather to pray at 10:30 a.m. Burial: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Matthew was born May 20, 1953, in Frankfurt, Germany. A graduate of Western Hills High School, he loved football and was awarded a football scholarship to Henderson County College. Matthew served four years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter crew chief. He made his living doing what he loved. He loved the outdoors and he was always ready with a joke, words of wisdom and a helping hand. We shall miss him.
Matthew was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Jean Macha.
Survivors: His father, Harry H. Macha; siblings, Mark, Pam, Michael, Patricia, Mitchell, Patrina, Pilar, Miles and Micah; and extended-family members.

While I didn't know Matthew well, the Macha family was an important part of my younger days in Fort Worth. His mother and father and other family members were important to me. I'm very sorry for your loss and extend my sympathy.
