I don't know where to begin, having enjoyed so long an association with Pieter's son, Christopher, and Pieter himself. I don't need to tell you, Alicia, about Pieter's sterling qualities: they were obvious to us all. I will tell you that I remember you both with great fondness and respect. I hope Pieter and Christopher are happier than they ever imagined in the embrace of Our Heavenly Father and that His Divine Mercy envelops you and gives you peace.

Alicia,
We are so sorry to hear of Pieter's passing. Even though you didn't get a chance to spend a lot of time at Lake Granbury RV Ranch, it was always a pleasure to have both of you here when you could make it. We always got a kick out of watching Pieter, with his tall stature, coming and going from the Casita. We loved it when you were able to provide entertainment at our functions, and watching the two of you during Chinese gift exchange was always additional entertainment. It was so evident you had a wonderful relationship with each other.

Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, and that you can find peace and comfort in knowing he has been called to the greatest home of all - God must have needed another angel for his choir.

Alicia,
Dave and I are saddened to hear of Pieter's passing. I regret that we did not keep in touch after moving to Michigan. Know that many of our happiest memories were spent with you and Pieter at your home and especially the Christmas "singings" and the night of the making of tamales! I pray that you are comforted by your faith and know that you are in our prayers and thoughts. Pieter was such a gentleman and his love for you outshone everything else in the room! Much love and blessings to you, Alicia.

Dear Alicia,
I remember going to your house when I was about 10 years old with my parents. To this day about 20 years later, I can always remember Peters smile and how kind you both were to me.

Alicia,
God Bless You. What a loss we have suffered in the loss of Pieter. But we must always remember that our awesome God is still in charge and He knows what He is doing. He needed another precious angel for Heaven.
We so enjoyed both of you here at Lake Granbury RV Ranch while you were our good neighbors. And, what a joy you were when you provided entertainment for our get togethers. How gracious you were to always be ready and willing when we called on you.
May the Lord continue to bless you and our love and prayers are with you. We love you, Ron & Kaye McQueen

I was very saddened to hear of Pieter's passing. He was a much-loved part of the Saint Andrew traditional choir, having sung with the group for years before he moved on for a while. He came back to sing with us a couple years ago and was always there with a smile and a kind word. We will miss his fine voice and most of all his wonderful, calm presence.
