Committal service: 1 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Sandra was born in Ardmore, Okla., and was raised by her grandparents in Santa Paula, Calif. She attended Santa Paula schools and graduated from high school in 1961. She became a Navy wife when she married Larry G. Dickerson on Jan. 23, 1959, in Santa Paula. They served their country for over 46 years, living in Alaska, Guam, Virginia, Mississippi, California, South Carolina and Texas. Sandra had resided in Tarrant County since 1971. She worked in Radio Shack's accounting department from 1987 to 1999, retiring due to health problems. She loved her children and grandchildren first and foremost. She enjoyed working in her garden as well as meeting new friends. She was friendly and outgoing, willing to help all who needed aid.
She was predeceased by two children, Laura Gayle Crenshaw and Gregory Scott Dickerson.
Survivors: Husband, Larry G. Dickerson of Fort Worth; children, Stephanie Lynn Smith and husband, Daryl, of Fort Worth, Rachel Kyle McNeill and husband, Robert, of Fort Worth and Danielle Denise Cowden and husband, Todd, of Grand Prairie; brother, Thomas Frances Brown of Kingman, Ariz.; sister, Jimmie Gail Brewer of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
