I just ran across Sheila's obituary. I was a Rainbow Girl and Sheila was one of my chaperone's when we lived in Abilene. She escorted us to Grand Assembly in Fort Worth Texas one year (around 25 years ago). She was fun and seemed more like one of the "girls" rather than a chaperone.
I am sorry to hear about her passing. She was a wonderful role model touching several young girls lives.

I just learned tonight of Sheila's death. I am so sorry to lose such a wonderful friend. We had so many times when we both lived in Abilene and even though we haven't kept in constant touch the last several years, I will truly miss her.
I know that she is one of God's angels and she will be missed by so many.
Deepest sympathy to all of her family and Tom.

I will miss Sheila's smile and sense of humor and, of course, the "male-bashing" sessions during lunch. Tom, you were the subject of those sessions most of the time but the love you two shared was always evident in the twinkle in Sheila's eyes. Keep the faith and let God help you through the difficult days. You remain in my prayers.

I knew Sheila when I was in the USAF stationed in Abilene, Texas. I loved Sheila but got married to someone else instead. Although she and I didn't keep in close touch throughout the years, I never did forget her and we did occasionally write and visit. I am truly sorry that she is gone, but I know she is in God’s light and truly happy. My sympathies go out to all who knew her well and to Tom and her family.

Sheila was the coolest aunt. Always doing whatever she could to have fun with us. The best times where always the trips back and forth between San Angelo and Dallas. She will be missed, but she left us Tom. Tom is a great person and a very welcomed addition to the family(officially). He's always been in our family as far as Misty and I are concerned.

Tom,
I am so sorry for your loss. And although I only knew Sheila for a short time I could see how close you were to eachother. She had a personality which made this 'ole salt' feel welcome right away and a smile which was so sincere that you couldn't help but like her immediately. You have been through so much together. I hope the good memories will be with you forever and help sustain you and your families.

I was saddened to hear of Sheila's passing. Though I only knew her for a short time at Lockheed, I thoroughly enjoyed her smile and always congenial attitude. She was so helpful to everyone in the department, and displayed such courage as she continued to work despite her illness. Wishing her family and loved ones much comfort and peace as Sheila is now surely enjoying those blessings as well.

I didn't really know Sheila very well, but I do know that everytime I passed her in the hallway, or saw her in the breakroom, etc., at Lockheed Martin, she always had a genuine, friendly smile and a kind word for everyone she met. May God bless you all with supernatural peace and comfort.

I remember when we moved in to our new house across the street from Sheila in 1983. We grew to know her so well. She was the first person to baby-sit our son (now 16). She was a free spirit, fun, and a friend. We will miss her greatly.
Tom – in this time of loss, you should know that we support you. You were truly a friend to Sheila (and to us). You stood by her – and loved her right to the end. We are all proud of you, and share in your grief.

I had the priviledge of knowing Sheila at Lockheed Martin. Sheila was a joy to be around as she had such an upbeat and sunny disposition. She touched many people's lives for the better and set an example of unselfishness and caring for others. I regret the loss of Sheila but know Jesus will greet her with open arms. May good memories help to ease your pain.
