McKEE Carol A. McKee, 64, of Columbus, was peacefully reunited with her beloved husband, Jack, on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 22, 1942 in Barberton, Ohio, the youngest child of the late Harold and Lucille (Smith) Bray. In addition to her parents and her husband, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Carroll McKee and Albert Chorniak, sister-in-law Eileen McKee Belville and her beloved niece who was like her daughter, Treva Lynn Kiley. Carol was a wonderful mother and sister and she was a truly loyal friend to many. She will always be remembered as a marvelous cook whose door was always open for family and friends. She adored children, and served the role of honorary grandma to several dear youngsters. She was an animal lover and an animal rights activist. Through the years, she had adopted many rescue cats and dogs and made them a part of her family. She retired from Sears Distribution and Logistics after 20 years of dedicated service; a career where she was dearly loved. Following retirement, she and her beloved Jack, her childhood sweetheart whom she married January 10, 1958, loved spending long days together and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds. Carol leaves behind a legacy of compassion and caring. Loving family includes her daughter, Kristina (Jon) McKee White and Shane McKee; brothers, Richard (Carole) Bray, Jack (Lenore) Bray, Daniel (Karen) Bray and William Bray; sisters-in-law, Deloris Chorniak and Twila McKee; brothers-in-law, Douglas (Shirley) McKee, Ray (Patty) McKee and James McKee; special great-nephew, Jeffrey D. Chorniak; cousin, Cookie Wolfe; honorary grandsons, Michael A. Kiley II, Caleb Wallace Taulbee and Jacob Michael Taulbee; and countless nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends and pets. Calling hours 5-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 with Chaplain Doris Anderson officiating.
