Charles Mineard Obituary

MINEARD Charles L. Mineard, age 76, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010. Charles was born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, son of the late Harold and Mildred Mineard. Also preceded in death by daughters Billie Robin and Carolyn Mineard, and four siblings. At a young age, Charles proudly enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and through his time there, he had the opportunity to travel and see the world. He retired after 26 years of service as a Master Sergeant. Charles was a true military man at heart. He was hardworking, helpful, spoke his mind, and his family truly enjoyed hearing all about his life experiences. He will be missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Wanda Mineard; children, Wayne (Kathy) Mineard, Pamela Mineard, Jeffrey (Debbie) Johnson, and Tyrone Mineard; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; faithful companions, Freddie and Miss Sunday; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. To the family, I only new your loved one from the dialysis center. Mr Mineard was an interesting person. We will miss his smile and Wanda's affection in caring for him.
