1949 - 2020
David Robert Pfeifer, age 71, died of COVID on December 5, 2020, after a lengthy battle with COPD. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Pfeifer; brother, Kenneth (Dawn) Pfeifer; sisters, Deborah (Dennis) Overmyer, and Pamela (Dana) Rudmose; son, Eric Pfeifer; sister-in-law, Karen Murphy; nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Pfeifer, wife Debra Pfeifer and step-daughter Christina. He grew up on the west side of Columbus and loved the Westgate Park area. After graduating from Upper Arlington High School, he served in the United States Navy and attended the Ohio State University. He retired from the Franklin County Engineer's office. He moved to Dublin in 2010 where he enjoyed living close to his siblings, neighbors, and new friends. Per David's wishes, he will be cremated with private interment at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio State University Pulmonary Research Scholarship Fund #311792, 1480 W. Lane Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43221. Dave was my buddy at pulmonary rehab maintenance he was a member I watch and talk to dave when he was there or when he call(hey James it's me hey dave) Dave was a strong warrior he has overcome his health so many times when people might think he was down he always found away to prove them wrong that's dave for you I will missed dave I had opportunity to see dave we ran into each other at walmart on bethel road we both on the hotrod(scooter) and we went down the same aisle and recognize each other with the mask on, and I did get a chance to talk to him later on when he called to see if the gym schedule had change to work out he was a morning person but I always enjoyed him I'm gonna missed you Dave. Prayer goes out to family and friends in these tough times keep your head up Dave is watching. :)
