Dear Kitty, Mike and Betsy, I was so sorry to hear of Dennys' passing. He and I grew up together and had wonderful times. As we got older we didn't see each other often but when we did it was just great fun. Something will truly be missing knowing I will not get to see him again. Please accept my sincere condolences. I'm sure you will miss him terribly.

Uncle Denny,
Well, you left us in an unexpected "whirlwind", and we are missing you...your many conversations and sense of humor kept Rick and I balanced throughout each day..your evening 7:25 Jeopardy phone call..the "News" of the day phone calls, along with your laughter and love..you were our family and they are grieving for you as Rick and I are...Karen is devastated with your passing, and she will have our love and support in her recovery...your SPS family will always stay by your side as well as your "special" guardian angel...and what a "Glorious" reunion you will have with all of your loved ones...we will ask God to give us the strength to be strong and you will always be in our thoughts and prayers... we will always cherish our special memories with you...forever in our hearts and prayers...

I am sorry to hear of Denny's passing. I have known Denny since we began attending school at St Catherine's. I can still remember Denny standing on the steps of the rectory with the rest of us when our picture was taken of our First Communion class many years ago. I always enjoyed talking to Denny whenever the St Charles class of '58 got together.
Our condolences to his family and friends.

Beth and I have not lived in Columbus since 1965 but we both have so many nice memories of Denny from our days in high school at St Charles as well as our infrequent get-togethers for Class of 58 reunions and other gatherings. When you were with Denny, he always made you laugh with his great since of humor. We only wish we had an opportunity to have spent more time with Denny. He truly was a gentleman.

Always fun to be with...such great fondness and and memories dear friend.

Ah Denny. You brightened my life and so many others. You were such an event organizer: I'd pick up the phone and hear "Cathy???" I'd say "Denny???" though I knew it was him. My fondest memory was finding out recently that I was on his "list". You were a wonderful friend and a great SPS volunteer. Miss you already, Denny and love you.

I want to offer my sympathy in your loss of a very special man. Denny was a great friend of my husband, Frank, who died almost 20 years ago. They shared lots of laughs, sports and pizza!!! I know his passing is difficult and I offer you my condolences. Blessings, Connie Corrova

I write this with a heavy but hopeful heart. Denny was a wonderful Suicide Prevention Hotline volunteer for 12 years, putting in over 1600 hours of service. He was absolutely dedicated, and helped hundreds of people in crisis, with his empathy and acceptance, as well as his life experience.

But what I will miss most about Denny was his ability to make me (and everyone else) laugh. His way of telling about some of his many "adventures" and his quick come-backs were well-known among the SPS staff and volunteers. No matter how down I was feeling, he could cheer me up, just by being himself. I had so many "therapeutic" laughing fits because of Denny...

I will dearly miss him, but I am expecting more thunderstorms--God will be falling on the floor laughing with Denny in Heaven.

My deep condolences to Denny's family, and to our SPS family.

Denny was a great friend to our family and especially to our mother/mother in-law, Karen Bauer. He was a very sweet, funny, and loyal friend, and a huge sports fan. He enjoyed trips to the casino and watching the Buckeyes, and often discussed sports with great gusto with our boys. We will miss him dearly.

My heart goes out to all of Denny's family and friends. I met Denny in 2010 as a volunteer at a Suicide Prevention phoneline, and we were shift partners there for some 5 years. He was a great
friend to me - and a beacon of hope and comfort to callers on the line, week after week and year after year. He loved and cared about people, plain and simple - and people sensed that and would open up and talk to him. I was lucky to get to know Denny, and he etched a smile of friendship in my heart that I will hold dear forever.
