Doris Medley-McClendon Obituary

Medley-McClendon Doris Jean Medley-McClendon, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at OSU East. She was born August 16, 1948 in East Gulf, West Virginia to the late Geneva and Mike Medley. She was a member of the Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, a former employee of Western Electric, a certified bookkeeper, health care giver for many years, and an East High School graduate. She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Geneva Medley, step father Frank Reid, brother Denver Medley, uncles Nathaniel Kearns and James Kearns, aunts Elizabeth Marshall, Dorothy Davis, Margaret Smith, and Cornelius Kelly. She is survived by her loving husband, Jackie McClendon; step daughters, Shyvonne and Jacquline McClendon; step son, Daryl (Kewonna) Foster; sisters, Frances Donaldson, Ealnor (Steve) Grey, Terry Reid, and Deandra Reid; brother, Diebied'Shawne Reid; nieces, Patrice Medley-White, LaKeesha White, Cory and Isaish White; uncles, Clarence Kearns and Raymond (Diane Kearns); aunts, Lucile Jones, Emma Jean Kearns, and Joyce Kearns; and close friends, Barbara Johns, Barbara Latham, Larry Muncy, Richard Smith; and many cousins and friends. Viewing will be Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 9 a.m. Homegoing service is 10 a.m. at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 3161 E. 5th Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43219. Officiating is her Pastor, Elder Michael D. Reeves, Sr. Doris's family would like to thank OSU East ICU. Interment is at Eastlawn Cemetery.
