George E. Cooney

COONEY George E. Cooney, age 81, died on Friday, October 29, 2010, at Select Specialty Hospital. Graduate of Aquinas High School, The Ohio State University, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was the Personal Manager with North American Rockwell and the Metal Container Corporation until retirement. Preceded in death by his wife Flora, and his son Matthew Piro. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survived by daughter, Kathleen Schaeper; sons, Joseph (Jean) Piro and Timothy (Michelle) Piro; daughter-in-law, Sue Piro; grandchildren, Emily and Justin Schaeper, Laura, Jessica and Andrew Piro, Zachary, Vincent and Michael Piro, and Sarah Harris, Melanie and Nicholas Piro; great-granddaughter, Matilyn; loving companion, JoAnn Brown.
