James Mitchell Obituary

MITCHELL James H. Mitchell, age 73, went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 3, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband and loving father and will be missed dearly by the ones who loved him. Member Moose Lodge #11. Retired after 38 years with Thomas Engineering and Surveying Company. Preceded in death by parents Harold L. and Catherine E. Mitchell, sons, Craig A. and Douglas L. Mitchell, brother Richard. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley A. Mitchell; sons, James H. (Katherine) Mitchell and Robert L. (Debbie) Mitchell; daughter, Jennifer L. (Donald) Cowell; grandchildren, James, Kellie, Jordan, Donnie, Miranda, Lindsey, Gerrad and Justin; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Collin, Jacob, Douglas and Taylor; sister, Mary Lou (Dennen) Leach. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday. Richard L. Smith officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
