Ralph Morton Mobley

Mobley Ralph Morton Mobley, 92, of St. Petersburg, Fl. passed away peacefully on Sunday Oct. 11th, 2015. He was surrounded by his sons, James and Mark with their spouses at the VA Hospice in St. Petersburg. He was born June 1,1923 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Earl T. and Theora Mobley. He was preceded in death by his daughter Marchetta and wife LaVerne. He retired from Timken Roller Bearing as a civil engineer and moved to Florida. He was a disabled Army Veteran where he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Amvets, Magnolia Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion and DAV. He is survived by his sons, James (Lynda), Mark (JoAnn) Mobley; grandchildren James II (Jill), Kimberly (Mike) Williams, Lindsay (Josh) Mobley, Mark Jr, (Jessica), Michael (Kelsey), Amy (Brian) Bishop, Sarah Corbett; great-grandchildren, Leah, Jimmy III, Abigail, Jordyn, Mark, Matthew. Sisters Mable (Clellen), June (Don) Shartzer, Linda Faye Webb; and brother Charlie Mobley. Memorial service will be held at Sharon Woods Baptist Church, 5959 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229, Friday, November 20. Doors open at 6 p.m. and service to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his name to the Sharon Woods Baptist Church or Joe Mobley Ministry or Hospice of your choice. Interment for Ralph will be with military honors at the VA Cemetery.
