Rita Burns Obituary
Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond F. and Ruth Calvin Burns.
Survived by brother Jerry (Bev) Burns and sister Linda (Chuck) Fulton; nephews Jonathan (Lynda) Burns and Jay (Amy) Fulton; nieces Julie Fulton and Jenny Burns Saas; grandnephews Andrew (Kelsey) Burns, Collin Burns, Erik (Angelina) Fulton, and Geoffrey (Allison Schroeder) Albert; grandnieces Kaitlin (Casey) Swendrick, Rebecca (Chris) Reaves, Emily (Donny) Scarscella, Erin Burns, Madeleine (Ethan) Karoscik, Shelby (Mitchell) Tulley, Jessica (Matthew) Reed, and Gina Fulton; many great grandnieces and great grandnephews; beloved pet, Veronica; and more dear and dedicated friends than we could ever list.
Member of North Broadway UMC, Beta Lambda Chapter - Delta Kappa Gamma, Central Ohio Unit - Herb Society of America, and the Cat Welfare Association.
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Cat Welfare Association in Rita's memory; she was a long-time advocate and supporter.
Rita wanted us to celebrate her life; please join us for this celebration on September 26, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at the Shamrock Club of Columbus, 60 W. Castle Rd., Columbus.

Rita was a dear friend. My late mother, Esther Avis, was a school with Rita in the 1960´s. They shared a house until my mom met my dad, Bruce. Rita remembered all of my family members with cards and gifts on their special days. She was a wonderful `Aunt´ to me. She will be missed.

I met Rita at Cat Welfare when we worked together at their Catique Thrift Shop. She was a beautiful humanitarian ; loving and well-loved.
