Ruby (Moore) Messer, age 93, went to join family and friends in Heaven on September 8, 2019 at Tuscany Gardens Nursing Home. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Jake Messer, parents Rev. Tom and Corea (Parsley) Moore, brother Tom Moore Jr., twin sister Ruth Moore, sister Dale Moore, daughter Bonnie York, grandson Billy York and daughter-in-law Christine (Estep) Messer. Ruby is survived by her son, Conard (Jo) Messer; and 5 sisters. Ruby loved having her grandchildren around her, Dwayne (Danielle) Messer, Eric (DeeDee ) Messer, Tammy (James) Bailey; step-grandchildren, Brenda McNeal, Lynn Brewer and Terry Whisman. She also had 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Ruby enjoyed attending church at the Reynoldsburg Free Will Baptist Church. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from Noon-1pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio, where her funeral service will be held at 1pm with Pastor Jerry Sargent officiating. Interment at Glen Rest Cemetery. Memorial messages may be sent to her family by visiting www.cotnerfuneralhome.com.
