We attended church at SFB when Dr. Hubbard was Senior Pastor. In such a large church with a big attendance, Faye seemed to know every member that wasn't there on any given Sunday. She would always check in with you, but not in a "scolding" way, but just simply to make sure everyone was ok. One of the kindest ladies I've ever met. There is simply no doubt whatsoever, she will be greeting us in Heaven one day with her sweet smile.

We were so saddened to hear about Faye's passing. We are so sorry we didn't get word in time to make it to the funeral. We moved back to Chattanooga almost 6 years ago to be close to Dennis here and Susan in Nashville. I called Faye on occasion to check on her. John lives in Summerville, SC out of Charleston with 3 boys. Susan has 7 children and Dennis has a blended family of 5 daughters and 6 grandchildren. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry and saddened about your loss. We loved her very much as did everyone who knew her. Bobby and I both have a virus, lost voice and severe coughing thus the reason that we cannot be at the service. I cannot even imagine the reunion she is having with our SAVIOR and loved ones. You all will be continually in our prayers. May GOD's peace be with each of you.

Mrs Hubbard was always such a kind and caring lady and I don't think it was just because of her role as Pastors Wife it was because of her beautiful soul. She never met a stranger as anyone who ever met her felt as they knew her forever. She was a Godly Lady that I never saw without a smile on her face. She loved many and was loved by all. May she now join her precious Ken and be with the Lord.

About 22-23 years ago we walked into First Baptist Smyrna for the first time. We sat on about the 3rd or 4th row. The first person to speak to us was Faye Hubbard. She didn't just speak to us, she hugged us and thanked us for being brave and sitting so close to the front. The day we joined we felt arms wrap around us and tell us how happy she was to have us there. I've held every pastor's wife I've had since then to her standard. I've had some good pastor's wives but no one ever came close to Miss Faye. She was kind and loving to her very core. Joy just spilled out of her! She loved well, listened well, prayed well, and served her church well. I haven't seen her in 5 years or so and before that it had been almost 10 years. Yet the last time I saw her she called my children by name asking about them and wanted Butch to know that she missed him. My heart rejoices that she is with Jesus today. But sad that I won't see her again. She was a wonderful example of a Godly woman. I know she and Dr. Hubbard are having quite the reunion today!! ❤

Faye Hubbard was the consummate pastor's wife. She was a friendly, outgoing person who made everyone feel welcome whether at church, her home, or a chance meeting at a restaurant or the grocery. She genuinely cared about people and was a wonderful encourager. Our hearts are sad, but we are so grateful her earthly struggles are over. Our thoughts and prayers are with her daughters and their families. She made our world a better place.

My heart is broken with the loss of my friend. She was such a blessing to those at FBC as she served along side of Ken. Just such a loving and welcoming person. What a treasure.
