Minus Morton Obituary
Minus Dudley Morton, Jr., age 75, of Bradyville, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center following a short illness. A native of Rutherford County, he was a member of the Hollow Springs Community Church and was retired from Perfect Equipment.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Virginia Sherrell Morton of Bradyville; son, Jimmy Donald Morton of Dickson County; daughter, Valeria Michele Jones of Bradyville; four siblings, Emma West of Rockvale, Joe Baxter Morton of Christiana, Donald Morton of Murfreesboro and Lois Perry of Christiana; five grandchildren, Signa Walden, William Khan, Timothy Morton, Christiana Neufell and Samantha Neufell; one great grandchild, Scarlet Neufell-Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Minus and Myrtle Loraine Williams Morton; three brothers, William Hyder Morton, Roy Morton and Tommy Morton; sister, Margaret Manus; granddaughter, Megan Michele Neufell.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2011 at Hollow Springs Community Church with Bro. Doyle Sadler and Bro. Joe Sissom officiating. Burial in Cherry Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Kahn, Paul Neufell, Brian Brown, Russell Morton, Andy Parker, John Jones and Dustin Rogers.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 8 a.m. til 9 p.m. at Woodbury Funeral Home.
