Peavy Funeral Home 20367 NW Evans Ave. Blountstown, FL 32424 850-674-2266 Mr. Richard E. (Dick) Pittman, Sr., age 83, of Marianna, FL passed away early Tuesday morning, August 2, 2016 in Marianna, FL. Dick was born on January 28, 1933 in Miami, FL and had lived in Jackson County for the past 43 years. He worked in the forestry and lumber business until his retirement. Dick was a graduate of the University of Florida and was an avid Florida Gator Fan. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Marianna. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Pittman, daughter, Joyce Miller, son, Michael Pittman and a grandson, Allan Miller. Survivors include, 1 son, Edward Pittman and wife, Kay of Blountstown, FL; 1 daughter, Karen Lipford and husband, Roland of Marianna, FL; 11 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will receive friends Friday, August 5, 2016 from 10:00 am (CDT) until service time at 11:00 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
