Roy Arnold Obituary
Roy Milton Arnold passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. We are all devastated by this huge loss, and he will be forever missed. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, a big smile for everyone he met and was always a joy to be around.
Roy was born in Dothan, Alabama on May 14, 1949. He graduated from Dothan High School in 1967. Roy dedicated a significant part of his life to his work. He was known for his commitment and reliability at Davis Oil Company, and German Auto Repair. His colleagues and customers alike appreciated his hard work and expertise.
Outside of work, Roy had a passion for three things: bikes, guns, and fishing. He loved spending his free time riding bikes and engaging in his hobby of caring for and collecting firearms. Some of his favorite times were spent fishing. He was also a die-hard Crimson Tide fan. His enthusiasm for these interests brought him joy and a sense of fulfillment.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Daphne and Milton Arnold. Roy leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley W. Arnold, his two sons, Wesley and Tommy Arnold, his sister Pamela Windham (Charles), his nieces, Joey Zook, Shannon Judge, and Erin Harvill (Allen), as well as his great nieces and nephews, Taylor and Dawson Zook, Jakson Judge, and Karsen and Kallie Harvill. Roy's loving and faithful cats Gracie and Shooter will miss him so very much. Roy was beloved by his entire, close knit, family and will be deeply missed.
He was also greatly loved and will be sorely missed by the many friends he made while living and working in Dothan. We can all find solace in knowing he's been freed from physical disease, and is riding his motorcycles in heaven, where we will one day join him.
