Mommy, I need you so badly right now. I am now a mother myself of the most amazing, perfect little boy. But im lost inside of the worst possible nightmare I could ever imagine. I need you more than ever right now. Your grandson Shane needs you. Please be with us through this difficult time and help me find the strength to keep fighting and to be the best mother I can be for my baby boy. He deserves the entire world and so much more. You were the best mother in the world to me and I just want to be that for Shane so badly, but I'm not you. I'm not strong enough for this and if I don't succeed at the end of this battle I will not be able to go on. I've already lost you mommy, I cannot survive losing my own baby boy. I wouldn't be able to handle that pain, I couldn't do it and it would be no use to try. You would have absolutely adored your grandson and I know if you were here you would pull Shane and I both in close to you and stand with us throughout this nightmare. With you by our side we could not lose. But facing this without you? Fighting this fight alone is so unbelievably painful. Please mom, I need your strength and guidance and support right now more than I ever have before. I need you with me now.
God I miss you soooo much mom, the pain of losing you never fades. Please be with me through this difficult time.

Miss you even more one year later. My Mom reminded me of how long we had been girlfriends and I was shocked at how old you had gotten! Ha ha. Think about you every day and miss your laugh and just the great way you looked at things! I am getting on with it. Just took my 10 minuets. Will always love you will always miss you. I know we have a loving God and he must be thrilled to have you home again!

Christmas is upon us now, holiday number 2 without you... I miss you sister!! Mom will be with you soon, I hope youre at the gates to meet her... By the way, I heard you laugh when mom rang the bell!! And again while I gave her a pedicure, I love hearing your laugh!

I cannot believe that 4 months have passed, in my memory, it is as though it happened yesterday. They say something good comes from bad and I must say that I can think of ONE, I have gotten to know your friends and now know WHY you called them friends! They are so special and it is really nice to have someone to share your memory and stories with. It helps ease the lonliness to connect with someone who was so much a part of your life!
Just wondering sister... Do they have "Macaroni & Mold or Beans & Barf" there?? LOL

I did not know you, however, Diane is a very dear friend so this message is for her and the rest of the family. I was very Happy to meet Carla and sit by her at Tina Browns Mother and Dads 50th wedding Ann. What a lovely person Carla was. I just want the family to know that the pain you are feeling now will pass but the memory of Carla will always be there. Jesus said, your pain is my pain so just let him help you through this.

Mom I miss you. I still dont feel like its real. I feel like im losing my mind because I dont believe it. Maybe that is gods way of helping me through this. I hope one day I will be okay again. I know god would not have taken you from me if he didnt believe you had givin me all the tools I need to do it on my own. But I dont want to. I want you here. I need you. It never gets any better :(

Don, Pauline and Diane,
I was so sorry to hear about Carla. I lost touch with her years ago, but thought of her often and wondered how she was doing. I tried to find her online, but could never find anything. I thought she probibly moved far away from Antioch. It saddened me to learn that this whole time, she was right in the next city. I was 9 when I met Carla and we had many good times together. She taught me alot, and often let me tag along with her to Girl Scouts. We both were in love with Donny Osmond and listioned and danced to his records nonstop. She taught me alot of funny Girl Scout songs which I have also taught to my own daughters. Most of my memories of Carla are childhood memories. I'm really sorry I never got a chance to see and know the woman she had become. Just want to say I'm so sorry, and you are all in my thoughts.

My cousin Carla was one of the most fun, gentle and loving people I ever knew... I have so many wonderful memories of when were kids together and as we grew into adults, we may not have seen each other as much as we should have but she was always an email or phone call away... Every once in a while I'd get a letter from her with a happy little note and some pictures. Her phone calls always made me laugh as she shared some dream she had or just random thoughts about stuff...I will miss those things and I will miss Carla so very much.... The world is a much more emptier place without her.

I never in my life thought I would be doing this. I love you so much and I need you here. Im so blessed to have so much family supporting each-other in this loss I just wish you were here. Its so hard mommy. I love you so much and I know you would want me to be strong. So im trying. I know your in a better place and you are no longer in any pain.
Mom you are the most inspirational, amazing person I have ever known and If I turn out to be even a tiny bit of the woman you were I know ill be okay. :(
God this is so hard. I would give anything to spend one more day with you.
Im happy I got to see you at the funeral home. It was by far the hardest thing ive ever done. It didnt feel real. You were just sleeping. .. So sleep mommy. Your amazing struggle is over now. I will have you in my heart every second and no one will ever forget you. I love you so so much. Gosh this is so hard...

I am so saddened by the news of your passing. I am still in shock. You were the big sis I never had. I will miss our times together to have lunch, go shopping, and your bubbly voice calling to say "Hi G". We had just talked on the phone to plan a luncheon in 2 weeks. We take life for granted. You didn't have 2 weeks left. You have been taken away from us way to soon. I have so many fond memories and happy times we've shared to remember.
