Our beloved Denise Frances Spinardi passed away Wednesday after a valiant battle with cancer. Denise was cherished by her family and friends. Her radiant smile and enthusiasm for life was contagious and touched all that she met. Denise embraced her Italian heritage. She traveled multiple times to Italy, enjoyed cooking her favorite family recipes and loved spending time with her friends and family. Denise was born in Oakland, CA. and graduated from Bishop O'Dowd High School. Denise enjoyed a 30 year career as a dental hygienist. Denise is survived by her devoted daughters, Kelsey Fernandez and Nicole Fernandez, Nicole's partner Chris Dixon, and her mother Jo Spinardi. She is also survived by her sister Darlene Brower, brother-in-law Randy Brower and her loving partner George Nessi. A Celebration of Denise's life will be held on Tuesday March 1st at 10am at Assumption Church 1100 Fulton Ave. in San Leandro. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the " American Cancer Society"

My heartfelt thoughts to Nikki and Kelsey. Your Mom was a wonderful, fun loving person, full of energy and enthusiasm. She adored you both! I remember so many happy events at Kennedy Elementary school, Girl Scouts, and being room parent with Denise for a very wild 5th grade class. She was delightful and will be missed. Melonee Dean

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire extended Spinardi family during this time of mourning and remembrance.
