George Bart Contreras Apr. 14, 1949 - Sept. 12, 2016 Resident of Oakland George Bart Contreras was born in San Francisco on April 14, 1949 to Carmen Lorenza Sanchez and Victor Nicasio Contreras. He grew up in the Bay Area with his family. After high school he enlisted in the Marine Corp from 1968 to 1970. George was a journeyman carpenter and was a hard worker. He ventured out and started his own business. George is preceded in death by his mother, father, two sisters and three brothers. He leaves behind five sisters, Rita Feliciano of Sacramento, CA; Rebecca Delahoussaye of Lancaster, Ca; Christine Pann of Stockton, CA; Eleanor Rush of Rio Vista, CA; Merry Serrano of Crockett, CA; and one brother, Javier Contreras of Oakley, CA. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. The Lord called him home on September 12, 2016. Services will be held at Cooper Chapel on Wed.
