Jordan Crowe Obituary

Jordan "Brad" Crowe June 26, 1954 - Dec. 12, 2004 Beloved husband of Diane Crowe and father to his 3 remarkable children, Casey, Christopher and Chelsea, Brad passed away December 12 at the age of 50. Brad was born in San Leandro and moved to Fremont in the early 1960s, where he spent the next 12 years. Brad graduated from Washington High School in Fremont as did his mother and his grandmother and later attended Hayward State University and San Jose State University. For the past 10 years Brad and his family have resided in Danville. Besides his wife and children, Brad is survived by his mother, Doris Crowe of San Jose, his brother, Todd Crowe of Scottsdale, AZ, his sister, Jann Stout of Hawaii, several nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and a large extended family consisting of 21 cousins and 9 aunts and uncles. Brad also leaves behind a stepdaughter, Kelly Crowe, who presently lives in Michigan. Preceding Brad in death was his father, Boyd, who passed away in 1986. Brad was a man of many talents. Early in his career he worked as a technician for PG&E. He later received his real estate licence and sold residential real estate. His entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to assume an equity-ownership position with an electrical contractor firm based in San Rafael. Since the early 1990s Brad worked at Lewis and Tibbitts Inc., an underground utility construction firm based in Fremont. Since 2001 he has served as President and CEO of the company. Those familiar with Brad knew him to be bigger than life. He had a great sense of humor and was quick-witted. He was also the consummate "go to" guy with the reputation of accomplishing anything to which he set his mind. Like his father, Brad loved boating and fishing. He would often be found boating in the Bay or in the Delta and made frequent deep-sea fishing excursions off the coast of Baja California. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, December 20, 2004 at 3pm at St. Isidore's Church in Danville, CA. Refreshments will be available after the service for all to attend. A private service will be conducted to spread his ashes in the same area of the San Francisco Bay where his father's ashes were spread 18 years ago. Brad, you touched many lives and made the world a better place. You'll be deeply and sincerely missed. A Memorial Fund has been established for the family of Brad Crowe. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions made payable to "Diane Crowe", c/o Mark Kinney, 1300 Overland Drive #102, San Mateo, CA 94403. Diane,

You and the kids are in my thoughts. Brad was a good man, and I will miss his sense of humor. I met Brad when he started working for Lewis & Tibbitts. I work for SBC (Pacbell) and on many occassions we would discuss upcoming projects. These discussions would always shift to you and the kids. He was so proud of his children and what they had accomplished. Brad will be deeply missed by all, but he will always be remembered.
