Joseph Inserra Obituary

JOSEPH JAMES INSERRA Passed away suddenly on October 28, 2004 at the age of 82. He was a Millbrae resident for 49 years. Beloved husband of Gloria Inserra for 54 years. Loving father of Barbara Hill, Mary Russell, and Paul Inserra. Dear father-in-law of Stephen Hill, Bruce Russell, and Michelle Inserra. Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Thomas, and Catherine Hill and Jennifer and Ryan Russell. Loyal brother of Louise Selph and the late Louis and Carl Inserra. Dear brother-in-law of Alma Beviacqua and the late Doris Ross. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joe was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 28, 1921. He served in the Merchant Marine branch of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a printer and a member of the Bay Area Typographical Union for 50 years, which included 25 years at the San Mateo Times. He was a member of the New Horizons Club at the First Presbyterian Church in Burlingame and the AARP Millbrae Chapter #2049. He enjoyed many hours at his favorite hobby of carpentry. A quiet, good, and loving man, Joe will be greatly missed. At Joe's request, private family graveside services were held at the Italian Cemetery in Colma.
