Resident of San Ramon
Kenneth (Ken, Kenny, Dad) Alan Wright, automotive industry veteran, lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, and true congenial spirit passed away on July 2nd, 2021 in his home in San Ramon, CA.
Ken is survived by his two sisters Deb (Donna) and Roberta Wright, niece and nephew Lindsay and Brett Baldwin, ex-wife Beverly Westgate, his elder son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Elaine Wright and granddaughter Ayla Renee Wright, and his younger son and daughter-in-law Benjamin Wright and Julia Hollas. He is predeceased by his father Ted Wright and mother Adele Evelyn Wright.
Ken was a devoted father and grandfather, funny, friendly, and charming, all with a touch of mischief thrown in for good measure. He loved working on and rebuilding his BSA motorcycles and was a lifelong fanatic of sound and music (especially when played through his McIntosh sound system). His musical tastes eclectic, knowledge vast, he was a true connoisseur and adored being out on the golf course with friends and family. Ken also loved to travel and had many adventures to Maui, Hawaii which was one of his all time favorite destinations. Ken was very giving and so much so that one of his favorite hobbies was shopping for Christmas and birthday presents.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday August 29th at 11AM at Old Ranch Park in San Ramon, CA. Address is 1000 Vista Monte Dr, San Ramon CA 94582. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ken's name to KQED, where he was a dedicated member for many years.

His love, giving spirit, guidance, sarcastic sense of humor, and lunch dates will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.
