Pearl Anderson Obituary

PEARL A. ANDERSON A resident of San Leandro for 70 years left this world behind on November 14, 2006 after a protracted illness. Pearl was 96 years young. Pearl left behind many beautiful memories for her two loving sons, Michael of San Leandro and Stuart, her adoring daughter-in-law, Sheila Anderson; her two beautiful granddaughters, Denica and husband, Chris Ruggieri, Jenna and husband, Brian James, as well as her great-grandson, Bowen Stuart James, all from Danville, CA. Pearl was an extremely active person who enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends and always had a kind word for everyone. Pearl was a giving person who spent many years volunteering her time at San Leandro Hospital, as well as serving as a citizen advisor on the Board of Directors. Pearl, when asked what she wanted to do for her 90th Birthday, said she wanted to go to Las Vegas, where she went with her family. Pearl will always be remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She never forgot a friend's or relative's birthday or anniversary and would always send a card to honor the occasion. Those who knew her will miss her smile and caring ways. At Christmastime, everyone will miss her signature butterballs, shrimp aspic and krumkake. Pearl's extended family meant very much to her and included Gary and Debra Medeiros; their children, Nina, Amy and Dana and Peter and Cynthia Fagrey; their children, Dylan and Sam all from Danville, Leslie Fagrey and son Tyler from San Leandro. In lieu of services, Pearl would like any donations to be made to a charity of personal choice.
