We are so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. Seems just like yesterday that we ran into he and Melba in a warehouse club here in Sacramento. Our conversation spoke of the "birthday club" that Melba and "the girls" were all part of for over 50 years! Friendships that last that long are a blessing! Lots of wonderful memories!

I was very sorry to hear of your family's loss. I have a wonderful picture, ca 1956, of both Richard father and Richard son in Indian Guides.

Dick and I attended Vallejo schools together, starting at the Charles F. Curry School. We both served apprenticeships in the pattern shop at Mare Island. I also knew his parents and his second mother, after his first mother died. All wonderful people. It is good to know that Dick had a wife and children and grandchildren, Dick was always a cheerful person, and talented. He must have had a fine life. I retired from the faculty of the Ohio State University, where for 22 years I was a dean. Earned my PhD in physics at UC-Berkeley.
