Warren Willis "Bill" Veber

1942 - 2021

We regret the passing of our beloved father, Warren Willis ""Bill"" Veber, on July 19, 2021. He was born Aug. 9, 1942, in Hackensack, N.J.
His early years were spent in ""upstate"" in Elmira, N.Y. He spoke fondly of his childhood and the one-room school house he attended.
After graduation magna cum laude, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served his country for 23 years as a rescue diver, electronic hydraulic specialist, completing his final voyage of his career on the USS Daniel Webster and retiring as a missile technician chief petty officer.
After moving to Springfield in the early 1990s, he secured a position as a publications specialist with Gulfstream Aerospace where he served for 25 years until his retirement in 2018 at 76.
He was a wonderful husband to his wife, Candy, for 33 years and a caring father to his eight children - five girls, Becki, Hether, Claire, Billi and Toni; and three boys, Russ, Kevin and Jeff.
He was also a loving brother to Norman Veber and a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren, Dillan, Lacey, Gavin, Arianna, Inessa, Arias and Madison.
He was a kind and gentle soul who viewed any problem as ""our problem together"" to be solved. He will be truly missed for his humor and approach to life.
