Robert Hughes Obituary
He was born on Nov. 17, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts to Walter Hughes and Lillian MacKinnon Hughes. Robert came to this area in 1975 from Brookline, Massachusetts, where he was treasurer for Brookline Savings bank. After relocating to Florida he worked for Five Star Realty for many years as a Realtor before his retirement in 2008.
He is survived by his 2 sons, William (Judy) Hughes of Venice, Florida, and Robert Hughes of North Port, Florida; 2 step-sons, Harry (Cady) Rowe of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Kenneth (Elaine) Rowe of Westwood, Massachusetts; brother, Kenneth Hughes of Madison, New Hampshire; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hughes, who died on Nov. of 2008.
Visitation Saturday, Dec. 2, from noon until service time at 1 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 635 E. Marion Avenue Punta Gorda, Florida. Burial will follow at Royal Palm memorial Gardens Cemetery, Punta Gorda, Florida.

I remember Bob as an On Site Salesman for Punta Gorda Isles, and remember that he always was smiling. The photo you chose to share is just how I remember him. My condolences; I'm sure his passing is a great loss to his family, and fellow Realtors Harry and Cady Rowe.
