Adam E. Horn

Adam E. Horn Adam E. Horn, age 83, of 2301 Edinboro Road, died on Thursday, December 28, 2006. Born in Monessen, Pennsylvania on May 23, 1923, he was a son of the late Adam E. Horn and Iva Pfeiffer Horn. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1948 with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After 34 years of service, he retired from General Telephone Co. of Pennsylvania. He was formerly Chief Engineer and Vice-President of that company. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, a Past Master of Perry Keystone Lodge #392, the Scottish Rite Bodies of the Valley of Erie, and the Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Maennerchor and the Zukor Clubs. He also served on the Millcreek Sewer Authority for 14 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marian Stoiber Horn, and two brothers, Stanley S. Horn of Albuquerque, N.M. and Curtis L. Horn of Seguin, Texas. Survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn (Daniel) Lease, of Fremont, Ohio, and Denise (Mark) Hamer of Fredricksburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Adam Hamer, Sarah Hamer, Aimee (Timothy) Leeth and Erin (Bradley) Hall; two great-grandchildren, Brielle Leeth and Timothy Leeth, Jr.; as well as several beloved nephews and nieces. Friends may call at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at which time a service will be conducted by Rev. Robert Schultz. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
