Grandpa, I miss you terribly and still can't believe you're gone. You're in a better place watching down on us making sure we behave ourselves. You are going to be sadly missed and thanks for always being a wonderful grandfather.

Saying he was a great father-in-law is just not enough. I have great memories of a man filled with compassion and humor. I never knew who "Sandy Paws" was until the Nelson Family Christmas parties. Being close to him during his last days is something I will cherise forever. He made everyone around him feel special and he will always be fondly remembered.

Dear Margie,
I am very sorry to hear about Clarence's passing. I'll never forget him as the gentleman who gave me my first job at Richman Brothers. I was 15 years old. I also remember him as a mentor to me when I was attending St. Paul's Church. My father-in-law always sought Clarence when he was looking for the perfect suit. My wife, Carol, and I are praying for you and your family for God's peace that passes all understanding.
God Bless You,
Mary Beth Dougherty

Dear Margie & Jimmy,
I was saddened to learn of Clarences' passing. I have many wonderful memories of our time together at family gatherings and of Clarence being my first boss at my first retail job at Richmonds, West Erie Plaza. We will all miss him but we will be sustained by the good memories he left us.
God Bless and my Prayers for you and all the family.

Dear Mrs. Nelson and Family,
I recall my late aunt, Florence Lindsay, speaking often and fondly of your husband and all he did at the church. I am sure that she will be on his welcoming committee in heaven! May you be comforted by your faith and happy memories.
Sincerely,

I only met Clarence several times but he was a childhood friend of my parents Ruth and John Bemer. They spoke so fondly of him. I remember Clarence once helped me choose a Christmas present for my Dad at the clothing store. Now, my Dad is waiting for him to welcome him to Heaven. You are all in my prayers.

Gosh I was saddened to hear first that Clarence was ill and then to hear he had passed. Gloria and I sat in the non smoking room at Shrine Club bingo for many years and had the priviledge to know Clarence. What a guy! He was so nice and funny, we really got a kick out of him. Our thoughts are with the family at this time of sorrow. He will never be forgotten and will be missed!

Clarence was a good friend of my father (Bill Dailey). I've heard the same tale everytime I was in their company. When they were in their early 20's most of the fellows had a date for one Saturday night. Clarence encouraged my dad to call a girl named Rosemary...saying it is just a date, you aren't going to marry her. My dad did marry Rosemary. I imagine they are all up in heaven giggling once again at this story.

My sons and I were so sorry to hear of Clarence's death. We play Bingo at the Shrine Club where Clarence worked every week. He was such a nice man, alway had a smile on his face, he was truly quite a character. He would come a sit with us during intermission and always had a story to tell us! I was always amazed at how active he was and was devastated to hear that he was sick. All of us in the "No Smoking" room at bingo will miss him terribly.

Very sorry to hear of an old friend passing on. Clarence was my classmate in the 1941 graduating class at East High, a brother in Keystone/Perry Masonic Lodge and a fellow Zem Zem Shriner. I remember his many years at Richmans where I shopped. Our sympathy to Marge and the family.

Margie and family,
I will always remember the fun times I had working Clarence at Anderson-Little. I am sure that there are many others who have similar memories as I. I was also a beneficiary of his vast retail knowledge.
If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call me.

I first met Clarence at St. Paul's United Church of Christ when I was just a kid. He was a true gentleman to the fullest extent of the word. He made me feel so important when I bought my suits and coats from him at Richman's. He will be missed greatly.
