David Tangle Obituary

David “Apollo” Tangle David “Apollo” Tangle, age 60, 940 West 17th Street, died Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie April 20, 1944, a son of the late Grover C. and Wilsia M. Davis Tangle. He graduated from Strong Vincent. He was the activities director at the Trinity Center. He enjoyed watching sports. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Barbara Jean Tangle Williams, Donna Mae Tangle Hamilton and Anna Mae Tangle. Survivors include a daughter, Heather Lucas and her husband Taurice, Erie; eleven sisters: Maxine Fox and her husband Glenn, Geneva Brothers, Gloria Mems, Jackie Tangle, Paulette Tangle, Claudette Cooley and her husband Willie, Bonnie Atkinson, Doreen Logan and her husband Albert, Delores Reed and her husband Gary, Brenda Clayton and her husband Ernest, Lynnette Hancock and her husband John all of Erie; three brothers: Lawrence Tangle and his wife Ruthie of Erie, Lee Brothers of Nebraska, Charles Tangle and his wife Mary of Erie; three grandchildren: Khaalis Jordan, Aaliyah Tangle and Taurice Lucas, Jr., and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a service there Saturday at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family c/o Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502.
