Diana A. Schneider

Diana A. (DeDad) Schneider, age 94, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013. Born in Tyler, PA on June 24, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Lizzi) DeDad. Before retiring in 1970, she was a nurse's aide at Presbyterian Lodge for twenty years. She enjoyed crafts, playing bingo, and especially cooking, baking and sewing, most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Schneider, on May 21, 2001; four sisters, Marie Rubino, Elizabeth Nencione, Ann Fabrizi, and Della Smith; and four brothers, Joseph, Louis, James and Nicholas DeDad. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia A. Rogers, husband William, and Susan M. Amendola, husband Carlucc, all of Erie; two grandchildren, Andrew Rogers, wife Chrissy, and Jennifer Rogers List, husband Bob, all of Erie; five great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Benjamin, Dominik and Samuel List, and Nickolaus Rogers; a sister, Helen Clement, husband Joseph, of Erie; a brother, Pete DeDad-Douglas, of Redwood City, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and are invited to a Funeral Mass at Saint Jude the Apostle Church on Friday at 11 o'clock.
