Our condolences go out to the Danowski family. I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time over the years in the company of this great lady. Many holidays and birthday parties were spent talking to Herta and listening to her stories and jokes. She was a classy and funny woman who could remember just about everything that happened to her over her many wonderful years. She was always the life of the party. She will be missed. I am glad to have known her. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. I like to think of it as goodbye for now and not goodbye forever. You will be in her company again some day.

Deepest sympathy to the family. I remember Herta when she worked on the 5th floor of the Marine Bank Building on 9th and State where I also worked. She was a lovely woman.

Herta was a wonderful lady. She became a friend and on occasion we'd have lunch together. She translated my German letters which helped locate my cousins in Austria. She will be missed. Prayers for her family are being said.

Hi Dan and Steve, sorry to hear about your mom. I remember her well growing up next door. She was very kind and thoughtful. I most remember her with her dogs playing in the back yard and her working in her garden.
