I send my sad condolences for the loss of your father (and my cheerful godfather!). I am so grateful that I got to see his cheerful smile when he so kindly came to my dad's funeral in 2013. What incredible memories I have of our times together as children. He was so proud of his family and loved you so. I hope that we can all take solace in the thought of him and your mom and my dad and their other friends enjoying each other's company and smiling down on us all.

Sorry to hear of this loss. His smile would brighten our day here at RCC. He would always make sure we knew there was cashews in the lounge. He was an absolute joy. Prayers for his family and many thanks for all the difference he has made in our lives!

What an amazing man, I enjoyed hearing his stories and looking at his pictures from his many trips he took with his children. He was a very proud man and would do anything for anyone. You will be sadly missed. Myself and the other chemo nurses will miss your smile and we wish you and your family peace at this difficult time..

Dick was such a delight to have at the Regional Cancer Center. He cheered up our patients and always brought joy to the staff. On Fridays, he brought the staff cashews to enjoy in our break room and would tell us stories about adventures he took with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed. Thanks for all of the time and effort you put in over the years, Dick! You are so appreciated!

The Reims (10 kids)and the Bertsch's ( 9 kids) were two large loving families that vacationed together on the Beaches of Lake Erie (Madison). Some of my fondest memories were roasting marshmallow's and being frightened by Mr. Reim's Ghost stories.

So, so sad to hear of Dick's passing. A long time ago his son Jim brought me, a scruffy-haired JCU student, home for Thanksgiving. As soon as he heard I was a Browns fan I became one of the family, and I hope I still am. When I visited him in Sept he still had that great sense of humor, still very proud of his kids, still rooting for the Browns and Indians. I'll miss you Dick.

Dear Reim Family,
First, i want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for bringing Dick to the Regency! The 7 months that i got to know him, meant everything and more to me. He was the highlight of my entire day at the Regency. My favorite human being on this earth. So inspiring and just so full of love and laughter. He was a proud father for sure. As big as Dicks family was, he always made me feel like i was a big part of his life. He asked me everyday how me and my soon to be husband are doing, or if i was having a good day, or the famous one, why you guys waiting until 2016 to get married!! He already loved Erik (my fiance) and never met him. He was always happy to see me and always gave me candy/cookies, whatever he had to say thank you. He was a gentle soul, became somewhat of a grandfather to me. My biggest regret is i didn't start working there sooner to spend more time getting to know him more. I have never met someone so happy and content with life like him. I will always remember him. So, thank you again for letting him be apart of my life. Truly, truly, lost the best part of my day. But, i know he is in a better place, at peace, with no pain. Rest In Paradise, Dick. We love and miss you. You will never be forgotten. <3

Mr. Reim was by far my favorite customer. I met him 15 years ago & every day he would stop to pick up his Cleveland plain dealer & talk to me about his children & grandchildren. I enjoyed meeting so many of his children, he was such a proud father. He especially liked telling me about his trips with his daughters. I will miss him greatly.

I have many favorite residents at the Regency and Dick was certainly at the top of that list. He was the only reason I ever rooted for Cleveland Browns, we always talked sports together. It was truly a pleasure to meet and help take care of him during his time at the Regency. I can speak for the whole team here when I say we all share in your sadness. Thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Dear Reim Family, I am deeply sorry for the loss of Dick. He brought a light to the Regency that we have been missing for a long time. Even the smallest thing we would do for him he always had a huge smile and big thank you for us. We all adore your family and Dick so much we are praying for you in your time of need. We will always remember the light Dick brought to us and the memories we shared with him. My personal favorite was when I went to take him medication one night and he was watching South Park. We had a good laugh. Godspeed Dick we will certainly miss you very much.

Dear Reim Family, What a wonderful, funny and witty man! Your father could always get me to laugh, with one his great one liners. One special memory was the Indians playoff game that we all watched over at your place a few years back. Warm thoughts. Be gentle with yourselves and each other this week. With heartfelt fondness,

To the extended D. Reim Family - It was with deep sadness that I learned of Uncle Dick's death. He simply was the embodiement of what it meant to be a Reim. I will miss him greatly and am only comforted by the legacy he leaves that lives on in us all.
