I am so sorry learn of Bob's passing. When I grew up on Fifth St. in Erie, he was two years older and my idol. He lived "life large" as they say today and he and the Metzger Family were so kind to me and included me in trout fishing and their hunting trips. And, who can forget the partys at the Boathouse. Peace.

The world is the worse for his passing.
I prefer to remember "Whale" as he was one night so many years ago, larger than life, hosting a beer party for some Villa College girls at the "Oar House", when this adventure was about to begin.
