Betty Reber Obituary

Betty J. (Stem) Reber, 87, of Charles Avenue, Nazareth, died Saturday morning, March 28, 2015, in her home. She was the wife of the late Willard A. Reber who passed away in 1968. Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Mable (Weiss) Stem. During her lifetime, Betty was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and homemaker, who was always caring, understanding, and helping. She attended St John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth, and was a 1945 graduate of the Nazareth Area Senior High School. Survivors: daughter, Susan A. wife of Louis Murante, Jr. with whom she resided, granddaughter, Jenna, grandson, Mark. She was predeceased by sister, Anna Clewell, bros, Nelson, Chester, and Bobby. Services: Private Graveside Services, Interment, Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton. Arrangements, Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, Nazareth. I will be forever grateful for how "Aunt" Betty took care of my Dad (her brother, Chester) for the last 20 years of his life, especially when he became ill. She was a wonderful, giving and thoughtful person who truly made a difference. God bless to family and friends.
